Essential Information for Your Visit

What are your fees and billing arrangements?

Appointment costs can vary depending on the doctor, time, and consultation type. Please speak to our friendly reception team when booking for specific fee and charge details. Payment is required on the day of appointment and the clinic has facilities to provide medicare rebates on the day.

Does your practice take new patients?

Yes, our clinic takes new patients of all ages and genders. Some doctors will not have capacity to take on new patients, but the clinic does have capacity to find you a GP to provide the medical care you need. Please call reception or book online if you are unsure.

Do I need an appointment for a repeat referral or prescription?

An appointment with a doctor is required for a referral to a medical specialist. Referrals are dated and usually valid for twelve months from that date. As referrals cannot be backdated, please ensure you have an up to date referral prior to your specialist appointment. Failure to have a valid referral will result in losing the  Medicare rebate entitlement for the specialist appointment. Should you require a repeat referral to see your specialist, your doctor may provide this for a minimal fee if they have recently seen you in clinic.

Generally, an appointment with a doctor is required to obtain a prescription of any kind. This is to ensure that the appropriate medication is prescribed and to allow the doctor to assess the ongoing needs and effectiveness of such medication. In some instances a repeat script can be ordered without an appointment (for a minimal non-rebatable fee), however this is always at the doctors discretion.

Is the clinic registered with MyMedicare?

Yes, our clinic is registered with MyMedicare.
You can register with us Online via myGov (Fastest Way) or In-Person when next visiting the clinic.
Please speak with our reception team or your GP at your next appointment.

Can I access my health information?

Yes, you can access your health information in Australia through your myGov account to view your My Health Record. You can also directly request records from specific providers like hospitals or clinics, however these will require a written request and identity proof. Please talk to reception should you need assistance.

Is your practice accredited and committed to recognised quality and safety standards?

Our clinic is a fully accredited practice, meeting the requirements as per the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards of clinical and administrative care.
