About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Nurse to join our busy, private billing, five-doctor General Practice in Cleveland, QLD. Located within the central business centre of Redland City Council, the successful applicant will provide a high standard of clinical practice and patient care, have excellent communication and well-developed interpersonal skills.
Along with a strong understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement, it would be advantageous should you have knowledge of Best Practice and MBS item billing codes; as well as previous accreditation experience, nurse immunisation qualifications and experience in staff and GP registrar education.
About You
The successful applicant will be an experienced Nurse (EN or RN with current AHPRA registration) that has:
- Excellence in all areas of Childhood & Adult Vaccines, including AIR
- Experience in CDM including CVC, Health Assessments and Care Plans
- Clinical excellence in Aged Care
- Proficiency with ECG, spirometry, audiometry, ear syringing, and BSL
- Experience with Patient Triage
In addition to providing nursing support to our doctors and assisting in a wide variety of treatment and care for patients, you will also be responsible for:
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Clinical stock ordering and maintenance
- Management of recall and reminder systems, including vaccinations
- Maintaining cold chain management systems
Minimum 6 months experience in General Practice is essential.
