 Ausdocs GP Consulting provides a range of consulting services to meet the needs of the Australian Medical Practice Industry. 

Our Consulting team have extensive experience in the establishment and ongoing efficient management 

and growth of Medical Practices.

Practice Set-Up

GOLD PACKAGE:

Set Up – (Based on 3 doctors and 6 staff).


  • Creating staff contracts
  • Setting Staff Awards
  • Annual subscription to employment services covering phone/email support, rates of pay/awards updates, fact sheets and templates
  • Staff interviews and recruitment – basic level
  • Set up of Practice Software – Best Practice software
    • Set up, implementation and clinical training with the Doctors and management training with staff. Note – some aspects of set up and software training will be provided by Best Practice.
  • Medicare Set ups – arranging Doctor provider numbers, bank account set ups, SIP, NASH Certificate, PKI, Tyro, Hicaps
  • Policy and Procedure Manuals
  • Arrange Utilities, internet, telephone, vaccine fridge phone lines
  • Supplier list
  • Supplier discounts where applicable
  • Basic Website set up
  • Business Plan Development
  • Account Software Ledger Setup (Xero), wages setup, bank feeds
  • Six month financial forecasting and budget
  • IT Set Up with IT provider


Package Cost: $18,500 + GST and travel costs.


Travel Costs: 5 days onsite – flights, accommodation, meals, transport and other sundry expenses.

The Premium Package consists of the Gold Package plus the following additional services:

  • Marketing Plan
  • Staff interviews and recruitment – additional interviews and follow up
  • Consulting on Fit-Out


Package Cost: $27,500 + GST and travel costs.

Travel Costs: 5 days onsite – flights, accommodation, meals, transport and other sundry expenses.


Practice Health Check and Review

  • Initial appointment with Practice owners/stakeholders to discuss Practice issues and agree on scope and process for the Health Check review
  • Questionaire and checklist
  • Written report and action plan
  • Follow up

Package Cost: Starting from $750 + GST.


This package is offered remotely however if conducted onsite 

travel costs are additional.

On-Going Consulting

 Consulting Services are available for ongoing support and development. The following base package is an example of what can be provided with customisation options available to meet individual Practice needs.

  • Initial face to face meeting, then face to face every 6 months (or 3 months if desired by Practice for additional fee)
  • Fortnightly meeting (1.5 hours) via Zoom or telephone with Practice Manager (PM) to discuss any areas of issues that they may need advice. These meetings to also include agreed areas of training for the PM identified at initial face to face meeting or subsequent fortnightly meetings. For example: education on staff appraisals, policy and procedures, staff issues, education opportunities for staff, education programs, improve benchmarking reports etc.
  • Monthly benchmarking review of fees, outstanding accounts, wages
  • Monthly newsletter advising of Medicare updates, Award increases, RACGP / PHN workshops in that catchment area etc.


Package Cost: Initial face to face fee for onsite day workshop of $750+GST thereafter $750 + GST per month.


Travel Costs: To cover travel costs for face to face meetings – flights, accommodation, meals, transport and other sundry expenses.

Additional Services

A wide range of additional services can be provided on a one off or regular basis as determined by the Practice and are available to the Owners of the Practice and/or the Practice Manager. Contact us for a complete list of available services.


Examples of additional services include:

  • "Snap Shot" reports to the owners covering key performance measures
  • Staff contracts preparation and review
  • Financial Management Reviews
  • Human Resource Review
  • IT Systems, Security and Business Interruption Plans
  • Six monthly group pricing policy reviews
  • Oversee Annual Benchmarking
  • Six monthly patient fees reviews


Cost: An hourly fee of $150 per hour. Discounts available for extended consulting services.


This package is offered remotely however if conducted onsite travel costs are additional.
